Scripture: “Let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
The Law of Thought was the first Law created by the Creator God. It was recorded in Genesis 1:3, “And God said, LET there be light; and there was light.” There was a chain of creative thoughts in those first expressions, which LET the Law of Thought be established. God thought light and light was realized. He thought form and the ocean and land were established and separated. The Law of Thought and the expression of thought create or produce only its kind.
The thought of man, too, is designed to produce its kind. Perhaps ones experience however, have not seemly been in keeping with this original Law. One might say that, in reality this has not been the experience expected. However, this does not make the law any less powerful. Further study into the way thought pattern works is indicated.
We see this Law of Thought used in scientific and mathematical equations continually and effectively. Perhaps the missing part of our personal experience with this Law is that we miss the step of LET? In order to produce anything, there must be a clear thought and that thought must be in accordance with the purity of the entire outcome. Another words, our thoughts must include expectations of only the highest and purest quality coupled with LETTING Creative energy be responsive to our complete thought pattern.
When we closely analyze our own thought pattern in metaphysical work or prayer work, we might be surprised how closely the result of our thought pattern follows the pattern established. We are the creator in this thing called life and just as God the Creator LET light, to have it realized, we must LET. Just as the ancients prayed what ever they desired not for what ever that might be.
“A few illustration of this point may be helpful as reminders. Let us take the case of denial. When one makes a denial of some unwanted condition, one must first recognize its existence, and then attempt to dissolve its existence.” This practice puts ones focused creative energy on the unwanted condition rather than the desired condition. The focus of our creative energy will bring us more of the unwanted by the Law of Thought.
Another example; when working for health for ones self or another to LET a clear thought of “Radiant, Vital, Dynamic Health” be ones focus would be totally in keeping with the Law of Thought and perfect result would follow.
The thought pattern must be clear, and the image must be etched deeply in heart and mind or consciousness. This comes through training and experience of our thought pattern. We may not be so concise or we may not even know what we really desire. In this instance then we LET the results manifest perfectly according to the Master Creative Process by ones LETting. “Thy will be done.” St. Matthew 6:10
In working for supply or abundance it has been found that the thought pattern of the person has often been focused on the lack, instead of the abundance, which was the ultimate desire. What we are specific in our LETting then the thought we LETs us manifests in our experience.
Dr. Bussell told a story about a woman that was utterly discouraged with the working of this very exacting Law of Thought. “She wanted to go to Europe and had worked mentally for supply sufficient to make the journey. All seemed to go well. She received a small gift, received added income by additional employment, saved money by unusual frugality, and had collected the funds for the trip. But just before the plans were complete an emergency arose which took all her savings, and the European trip was out of the question.” After listening to her story Dr. asked, “What did you originally work for?” She quickly responded, with the exact dollar amount. His reply then was, “Did you not get it?” Of course she had; but “what she got and what she actually wanted were widely different.”
“Most of us have probably not been deeply impressed with this little word, “let” as it appears in the third verse of the first chapter of Genesis. But it is probably the hinge upon which our whole life swings back and forth like a pendulum. It is at least well worth a great deal of consideration, if our life desires are not all completely fulfilled.”
After taking a close look at ones situation most likely the determination can be made as to just what it is that one desires, and how much or of what quantity. Or another way to frame ones thought pattern is ‘this or something better’ and ‘enough and to spare’. “Do not expect it to just happen ‘sometime,’ but be consistent with its character and nature of development and have large expectations. The following may be a guide for ones thought pattern.
“Step 1. Know absolutely what you desire; make a clear, concise mental picture of what you desire. Here you will usually determine whether or not your idea is within the plan of God’s Creation. “This or something better.”
Step 2. Feel, see, perhaps even taste or smell the desire as you LET the desire be perfectly accomplished fully.
Step 3. Be grateful, beyond the thank you stage of thanksgiving and prepare for the fully bloom of the desire.
Step 4. Become one with the object, thing or idea and continue to be one with your desire NOW and every day while you LET the accomplishment fully bloom, not merely be realized.
Step 5. Meanwhile when the idea flashes into consciousness mind, treat it as an accomplished desire and do not disturb the perfect bud of an idea. Go about being prepared fully and LET.
Jesus pointed out the nature one must use in the Law of Thought…Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Make your desire Re-al and LET NOW. Remember, doubting God, your Plan, or yourself only creates an energy field of doubt where nothing will grow or unfold to fullness. “To say that the waiting blessings are ours for the taking is not inconsistent with the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ. In St. Matthew 7:7-8 we read: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and him that knocks it shall be opened.” We have been knocking at the door of knowledge, expecting to be able to find a way we can achieve miracles, when the achievement has already been completed, and all that is left for us to do is simply LET.”
“Jesus reminds us, as His followers, that we can and should know the Kingdom of God as the reality of our existence, for in St. Mark 4:11 we read: “And he said to them, to you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God…” And on various occasions Jesus told us just what He did in preparation for performing the wondrous works which He did. In St. John 14:12 we read: “Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also: and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father.” It was by going to the Father and becoming one with the Father that Jesus was able to perform His mighty works. As He said, in St. John 10:30, “I and my Father are one.” Jesus spent His life work demonstrating the Way.
The work one does to enter and live in that Way is a mighty work, which is accomplished only when one has been able enters this Way and LETs the magnificent creative energy bloom fully. God established the Law of Thought and Jesus the Christ showed us the modus operandi of faith in the operation this law.
